Was She Crazy Or Had This World Gone Mad
Was She Crazy Or Had This World Gone Mad As fantastic glitter flowed into a fast beating heart she her dearest fantasy dared to not again relive all of her life, beauty had been the hot, feverish goal now in this purple haze she knew not where to start. Could it be true that real living was so much, much more than the shredded skins she dared to leave well behind now she had seen it, its long hairy arms reaching to take and deep into her weeping spirit, a newer hole it tore. But it made no damn sense, it was neither man nor wild beast yet she had seen the terrible thing that terrified so it patiently waited inside her ghosted bloody dreams some black-nights it begged her to on its own blood feast. And she wondered, what the hell is this place she is at With padded rooms, her only visitor, a hungry rat. Robert J. Lindley, dark sonnet no date, probably mid 1970's
