Diametric Paradise
One an angel, one a devil, Two so different, two so young, This ain’t love, this is so wretched, Came those hateful words, from the priggish tongue, But together they laughed, and together they cried, For The years would be tough, and the years would be long, But soon to be proven, fallacious and faulty, Was the naysayer’s hurtful ,and much-repeated song, Because it was when this love, Appeared to be all but done, You could find this unlikely pair, Having their boisterous fun, But the people were jealous and the people were covetous, Not many were allegiant not many were true, And like that of the beauty, and like that of the beast, Their love only deepened, as it grew and it grew, And for many months and for many years, the couples love never lessened, Even though no matter where this peculiar couple would settle, You could aways find those mealy-mouthed egotists, Ready to judge, and ready to mettle, But to the agitator’s bitter chagrin, this godly and beautiful angel, And also the other one, that strange but benevolent beast, Lived out their lives, and lived out their union, so very happy together, Never acknowledging the bigotry, not in the very least.
