Teh Buffet Moves On
It was 1977…in Margaritaville…I’m not sure of the exact day when I first tasted his music…it was my first trip to the buffet. I remember it seemed like just other Saturday night… but after tasting that first entree… Come Monday I found myself eagerly returning for more food from the buffet. Returning to that food paradise but finding along the way… changes in my attitudes about food as the chef added new dishes to his buffet. The chef is gone now…and for lovers of great food It’s truly is a sad day… for now they’ll never be a new dish… a new entree…added to the buffet I never had the pleasure of meeting the chef but you know what….that’s okay you don’t have to know the cook personally to appreciate a great buffet. Besides, I have a freezer full of leftovers… that should last until my final day Happy reminders of all those years enjoying his buffet. And while I’m still here I’ll savor those leftovers… for now, they’ll have to suffice… until the day I join chef Jimmy on the beach for my first cheeseburger…in paradise.
