Melody of Lonely Angel
Written: August 19, 2023 ______________________________________________________________ In the world where shadows dwell, A tale of woe I shall now tell Of hearts that wept both night and day, As hope seemed distant, fading away. Tears would flow, as rivers, they'd cascade, Yet, still, they wiped them away, undismayed. With shields and spears, they stood so strong. Wills are unwavering, and spirits throng. In the realm where shadows dwell, A battle raged—a war from hell. Vain were the efforts to quiet its wrath. As darkness consumed the righteous path. But amidst the chaos, a glimmer of light An angel sings, soaring in flight. Her voice was as the wind, so gentle and pure. Brought solace to hearts, making them endure. Her song, a balm for the weary soul, A sparkle of hope in a world of coal She sang of fields of mown hay, Of summers past and brighter days. And as her voice echoed through the night, The devil cursed, his rage taking flight. He knew the power of her song. Could undo his evil and expose his wrong. But the angel sang on, undeterred. Her melody is a weapon; her words are a sword. She sang of love and of mercy and grace. Of pity for the poor, the lost, and the misplaced. The heavens frowned upon the devil's plight, His feeble fright was no match for their might. They sent a dreadful storm to quell his rage. To silence his curses, his fury to a cage. But still, the angel sang with all her might. A beauteous sight, a celestial light Her voice pierced through the thunder roar. As she sang of forgiveness and galore. The devil trembled; his power diminished. For the angel's song, his darkness couldn't replenish. And in the midst of the battle fray, The angel's song brought a raw day.
