Home I have found is not a place that can be given an address, or pointed at on a map. Home is the warmth, and love you find in another's heart. You could be in the coldest, most inhospitable place but if that heart is there... You will feel a raging harth, the comfort of happier days. All because of a simple human heart... An exchange of feelings, a divulgence of trauma's, a regaling of joy, a telling of happiness. These are the foundations a home is built, not of concrete or stone. A house can be destroyed, a catastrophe it may be, but a home... If built correctly will last lifetimes. It's the bonds that are made that cannot be seen. Tapestries and fineries are nothing compared to the memories of a day at the beach, or the first time anyone had thrown a party for your birthday. Furniture? Ha! Pointless compared to a blanket lovingly crouched. I have never been monetarily inclined, but I am wealthy beyond measure in many ways that can not be counted or calculated. I have been standing in the same spot my entire life... Until now. Now I leave the past and all it's heartache and pain behind. I step forward with no assumptions, no expectations toward a better future. I don't know what may come but I know from this point on where my home is and forever will be.
