The Implications
I was not expecting To fall in love Today It caught me Off guard And unsuspecting I was tired Dirty From work An travel I’ll just drop in here For something to eat My mind It was way ahead of me Already in the shower Getting ready for bed Craving Cheese and olives I looked up from the selection Straight into her eye’s Those big orbs Of onyx Her spell It struck me I tried to talk But mumbled And thumbled I see my reflection In her eyes And when I open My mouth Butterfly’s Did flutter Coming out Oh why Did she have to smile My legs froze In place As my torso Melted around them Like the bottom end Of a candle I tried to speak Again But nothing Nothing came out Am sure my mouth did move Moved in silence “Are you ok?” She said, so softly Oh why Did her voice Have to be so soft and sweet All I could think to do Was lower my head Into my hand I came back up To breath “Yes, sorry. Am just tired” “May I have.’ Her hair Matched the colour of her eyes So long And straight “Look for a ring, idiot” My inner voice yelled Her ring finger Stayed hidden From my view I tilted my body Left, then forward She looked up at me Through the glass Oh , stretch, stretch My inner self was doing a face palm Way to go drop kick, it said “Was there anything else?” “No, no. Thankyou.” I reached out for my selection To far To fast I felt the softest hand Under my dirty Orc fingers Oh, why did she have to be so soft I pulled my arm back As she tilted her head And blinked, questioningly I didn’t need anything Down the aisles I walked Just the end So, I could look her way Both times She caught me And smiled Oh, why did she have to have Such a beautiful smile I think She might be on to me So paid and left Left myself A little flustered Probably Busted Am only there Every other week Twice now But have been unable To manufacture A meet Some nights She keeps me awake And I worry About The implications
