Ghost In the Library
on Tuesday a screaming librarian ran out the door yelling “ghost! Poltergeist! Blood! Apparition and gore” all of us kids turned around and ran back to the shelves We wanted to see what had scared old widow McKelves the ghost was dematerializing as we rounded the corner We yelled “hey! no fair!” he held a book that said little Jack Horner the ghost gave a friendly kid laugh that warmed us to our toes Did it work? asked McKelves boyfriend. She said “God only knows”. She had been trying to get us kids into the library for a week. Now we were coming back nightly, to try to get a ghost peek. So yes it did work, and we decided to read a book while we were there. She had fooled us with a hologram, so is that even fair?
