But after monsoon rains, they are heard less and less. Why? The poet puts on his cap of imagination and finds the answer himself. With a few showers the land softens, and frogs come out from hibernation to fill the air with their raucous mating calls. And koyals fall silent in this cacophony. The poet appreciates this act of koyals.
