The Night Brings Doubt
This morning I was accepting and governing in my seventh decade, twilight crept and words without sound said, you're just a facade, then the darkness enshrouded, and the sheild of confidence faced the sword of doubt, time and change are guaranteed constants, how much time do I have, what personal changes must I make or reluctantly accept or adapt to, quivering qualms quake my equilibrium, Timbuk 3 said, the futures so bright, I gotta wear shades, but my approaching future is marching with obscurity, one dare not peak over the horizon again, for this man once trembled at a ghastly presence, I've heard it's all about the journey and not the destination, and this journey has given me so much love, although I'm guilty of not reciprocating in equal amounts, taking things for granted has always been a failing of mine, all things will pass and perhaps remembered, and journeys will change direction once in a while, during these seven decades, I know what truly matters, its who's face that smiles when I'm in their company.
