Reverberations
Standing beside pillars of marble, outstretched arms carry me to the furthest seas from this rotting foundation. The corrupt cornerstone shall fall, Pluck one's eyes out to watch from above, to fully understand the meaning of control. Feel the astonishment glaze over, seeing the submissive in every corner, uncountable intermixtures, walls they build to protect themselves from another, placing costs for paths already walked. Bewilderment extends its power. If only one could imagine if they came together, identical bricks and mortar from sensations buried deep, from the depths of time forever there to uncover. Their need for wanting more, not as I fly and plead for the stronger, once-bright yellow sun to still creatures' feast. Thorns of a flower, "What else is one to do?" shouted from below... Do not get me wrong, I do know. Lay me to rest, this I beg, did I deserve this punishment? I tried to be a part of it, but no longer, floating towards the glass mirror, can I be let out now? Tired of being the lost messenger.
