Blue
Everything perfect, something amiss memories I hold in my heart’s abyss unsaid, unheard, unfinished Treasured always, only mine to be cherished. Laying awake on the bed so warm Waking up to the azure of the dawn Scent of pinewood that lingered in the air Feel of carpet on my feet numb and bare. Melody of the hymns faraway sung Aroma of delicacies in the cottage that hung Nestled in a meadow somewhere uphill, Sitting cozily in the misty morning chill. Rowing together to the places unknown Beads of sweat ,on my forehead shone In lap of the mountain lay a lake so vast Wishing that time stops and moments could last. Faces unknown, yours etched on my mind Travelled miles, so you i could find. A rosy picture painted in my head Found myself in the tryst instead. Two minds who fell apart as older they grew Little did i know it was my last time with you. You were my something old, something new. something borrowed and something blue.
