The Climb
Spent most of my days Waiting in line Mostly for a box made from pine Climbing the hill Why doesn't life come in a pill Day after day Mostly without pay Steadily climbining , Life, love , reality, always colliding Working yourself Dreaming of wealth Climbing ever higher Such is desire Losing all to a blind eye Giving yourself to the white lie Tomorrow sorrow Beg or borrow Tears Fears The passing of the years Can feel the rain Easing the stain Strain Lost in among my brain The mind of madness Created by great sadness Climbing forever this hill Beyond what it means to even feel Can't get no higher Lost in the fire The flame Of self blame No escape no matter Became the Mad hatter Life's just a show You must know No surprise In life no matter how far you rise Happiness is just a disguise Worn by the wise
