Memories from 2020: There are many people struggling with the seemingly hopeless situation that they are in. The pandemic has just piled on the pressure to existing challenges. There's so much focus on trying to remain optimistic and the shame of not being grateful enough just to be alive. Especially as many people are worse off. Ultimately, however, we each have a choice. And living a life of quality is certainly preferable to merely existing. I've employed the words uttered by Christ on the cross before He died. It is the juxtaposition of His worthy death against our unworthiness. In dying, may salvation be found for all. I do hope that anyone who is struggling is able to get the help and support they need, and that someone or something will give them hope for a better tomorrow. Take care and best wishes. It is finished By Michelle Morris 27/10/2020 I have died in stages. Despite everything, I have tried to cling to hope that this existence will cease to be painful and bleak. My fingernails are bleeding. I've been holding on too long. I let go and the last stage is set. I am free now. The shell echoes its last gasp of sorrow and is quiet for good. The angels take away my soul. It is finished. At last the pain is gone. © Michelle Morris, 2020
