Let's Call This One of My Funny Moods
Let me tell you about my heroes I'm in full appreciation these are either niche or unpopular (how devilishly bold of me!) Cast you mind back to a time and a place (haha you can't - it's really specific!) It's the 1980s, England (ok, I'm not that clever, you might grasp that abstract idea...) I was maybe 8 and in the school holidays I'd sleep in til 11. But!!! Then it turns out Wacaday was on at 7am with Timmy Mallett He said what he wanted, wore what he wanted, looked nothing like what should be popular - it was all weird and to my eyes lead on freewheeling I loved it! (loads of people did, they just don't mention it now) I should reach out to Timmy Mallett and ask how his subconscious and conscious brains communicate and whether he still does the wacky one pocket in and one pocket out crazy move when he wears Bermuda shorts... Do I have a second hero? Why yes. The saviour of a show no one wanting saving. I don't like the show... Unless our little hero Scrappy Doo is there! Ha in your face Scooby Doo traditionalists! (I'm married to one) Scrappy Doo elevated that show immensely and I don't care that I've never found anyone who agreed (actually even random strangers get quite annoyed if I bring this up... Which would be one time, when I was buying socks for a traditionalist) Edit: Timmy Mallett was mentioned on the radio after I wrote this. His catchphrase was "bleugh" :) Good old Timmy! :D
