The Tejano Queen
April rain fell from the sky like tears of mourn for a love gone by; A memory of a golden past, sweet love that ended so, so fast; A gorgeous face like a beauty queen; A heart so soft and so pristine; Her voice that blew like a rhapsody in heartful hours of February. She was a queen in her own dominion. She held her crown with deep devotion. She made hard days easy to pass. A glorious grace, she really was. Of all the days in month of April the sixteenth brought the lonely chill; The ides of March with a devious sound came echoing when no one's around. But her voice echoes in memories; It's bound to live through centuries; For, her time is glorious to remember, like a star that shines forever.
