Summer
The texture of the season has changed once again from icy fields and blowing snow to watching where the robins go Waking every morning now I hear their song as they bask in the rays of the golden sun while flowering of buds has just begun I hear children in the park as they play their games and the tune of the ice cream truck driving around to make a buck Ah summer time and the warmth is so needed by the land with before was so depleted wrapped in a frozen wilderness and quieted by frost until summer unleashed a dazzling display of that golden orbs fireworks over our heads today I see bodies as if praying to the warmth the sun brings laid out helter skelter on the beach while the surfers find wings it's a season both beguiling and fun made all the better with that splash of heady sun.
