Lines
The drawing of a line Changes things I applied eyeliner The blue of my eyes showed My outlook changed from within You draw a line Say 'no more' And things can change It's a boundary Marking out the safe space Setting out what's yours A line drawn You decide a troubling thought Has had its time A hard line Strict and unwavering Unreceptive to challenge A fine line Achieving balance Recognition of perception and shift Crossing the line Unacceptable behaviour Determined by unwritten rules Tow the line Behave as you should Determined by another Read between the lines See what's hidden Absorb the mood rather than the words This maybe isn't a poem but there's something within the concept of a line An expression so common Of a idea so easy I don't like hard lines Unchangeable and unchallengeable But there are lines I can draw And positions I can take Simply and immediately So I wanted to meander around that idea Hmm now I'm lost in the idea of the queue (line) This is my thought I'm meandering anyway... Linear paths - another idea that bothers me I think I got the concept from time That you can't go back because it's linear Anyway - Google tells me you can reverse a linear path (not time) I'll forgive linear and take a haphazard stroll with it It requires a bit of energy to draw a line I'm well practised at toeing the line Though this isn't a poem And I'm going to post it anyway
