Lost In the Labyrinth of Modernity
In the land of my birth, Where the acacia trees stretch tall, And the savannahs extend beyond the horizon, I am reminded of my roots, Of the days when my ancestors roamed these lands. But now, I wander, Lost in a labyrinth of modernity, Where the cacophony of technology drowns out nature's symphony, And the frenzied pace of life leaves me breathless. I yearn for the simplicity of days gone by, For the serenity of a life unencumbered, Where the rhythm of my heart beats in time with the earth, And my soul is free to soar like an eagle. Yet, I am bound by the chains of progress, Enslaved by the allure of material wealth, And as I trudge through this concrete jungle, I wonder if I will ever find my way back home. Oh, how I long to shed these shackles, To cast off the trappings of this modern age, And rediscover the beauty of simplicity, To live in harmony with nature once more. But until that day comes, I will continue to wander, Lost in a world that is both beautiful and terrifying, Hoping that one day, I will find my way back home.
