Robed In Jealousy
How many colors in jealousy? The participants - a favorite child, parents, and a rainbow of siblings. The lining feels good and comfortable for the swaddled tale bearer, enough so the dreamer dreams of being in charge, though being the littlest lamb. Out in the deep, dark woods where witches build candyland and wolves in sheep’s clothing watch with ravenous eyes for the innocent, a child strolls on the red carpet, listening and watching for misbehavior so he can run away to daddy who will set straight the miscreants. A falling away of a robe, a pretty handmade coat - in his underclothes and in too far deep his mood is angry and shocked. He knew they would pull him out. He thinks, “Boy, they’ll get it good this time.” ……….. confused, they’ve thrown him at strangers, and away he goes. He can’t wrap his mind around the impertinence. He’s shaking… He’s scared. He’s driven so far from home. But his faith is his fuel in his belly. His wake cannot happen with no body. No one is jealous of him in this caravan. However the one true God is jealous for him and has a plan…a precious plan… It is a plan of reconciliation. It is a story of salvation. Dreams do come true. 3/19/2023
