She sided with a specialist, who recommended drugs to sedate and calm him down and neutralize the “bugs.” His attention span grew nil his appetite decreased, he developed stomach pains, and vomiting increased. He sulked and moped about. And just as predicted, a rash developed like a mold, and now his hair is falling out! I’m quite distressed, of course, as any father would be, for I too once was ten years old and just as fidgety. In those days I got the only cure available from my near illiterate father who was very capable – a good kick in the butt and a threat that put my allowance in jeopardy – cured me very quickly. Now my not-so-normal ten year old suffers countless ills all brought about by specialists and their !@#% pills!
