Words floating across the mind Sometimes hard to find What is wrong , what is right Pondering the question deep into the night. Is anything worth the fight Reminding myself throughout the day Seek the right words to say Who am I to be What is it I'm meant to see Can words set one free Where do I go from here Whom can I trust to stand near, So I walk alone With just memories of what life has shown The silent echoes of days gone by Sometimes I still cry Lost to yesterday Times I lost my way Path I choose was wrong And I stumbled way to long Lost was my song Lost was my heart Where to start. Stepping past the dark into the light Such a fight. Looking back into the past Tried not to take life to fast. But here I am now old Not so bold But my soul hasn't been sold I walk heart free. What is next for me to see I'll soon find out what does await My heart will be free of hate . As I make my own fate.
