Fall Away From Here
I was weeping a river (felt so sad tonight) I was grieving forever (it seems all night) I’m sorry I’m not your precious sunset and I’m so upset, so upset (I bet you are too) I’m sorry that I’m full of doubts and regret, doubts and regret (debt piles in me, true) I was weeping a river, but whatever as I hold on to your sweater Fall away from here forever, baby, whatever kind of weather Fall away from here and have no fear Fall away from here and shed no tear Fall away from up there in the windstorm of wrath and angry frowns I’m in appall and I hear your call as I travel far away into strange, tranquil towns Victimize me no more… I’ve been having fun, being sore and laughing painfully I am not crying anymore Far away from here — the place I call a horrid nightmare frankly Far, far, far away from here Scar, scar, scars today fade into hopes and no more fear Star, star, stars in the midnight sky fill us with cheer It appears that I’m far away from here — The nightmare, nightmare, nightmare of my fear…my fear…my fear You could cause suicide (and I subside) Upon the words you utter by my side I’m sorry I’m not your sunrise when I am your dusk of doubt, dusk of doubt I’m sorry I’m not your mesmerizing sun in your eyes and I lost my radiant route I was weeping a river, but whatever as I hold on to your sweater Fall away from here forever, baby, whatever kind of weather Fall away from here and have no fear Fall away from here and shed no tear Fall away from up there in the windstorm of wrath and angry frowns I’m in appall and I hear your call as I travel far away into strange, tranquil towns Victimize me no more… I’ve been having fun, being sore and laughing painfully I am not crying anymore Far away from here — the place I call a horrid nightmare frankly Far, far, far away from here Scar, scar, scars today fade into hopes and no more fear Star, star, stars in the midnight sky fill us with cheer It appears that I’m far away from here — The nightmare, nightmare, nightmare of my fear…my fear…my fear I don’t have the courage to see you soar I won’t be the moonshine of misery anymore I don’t have the strength to move on to the core What am I waiting for? You’re the one I adore I’m regretfully, doubtfully weeping a river Extremely grieving unglorifying sorrow forever I’m sorry for letting you down, I wear grief-relieved crowns of unpitiful forgiveness I’m still wearing an upside down frown I dare you to smile in these tranquil towns of eustress But fall away from here, from here, from here — This nightmare of a fear…have no fear, but have cheer Have no distress Have no stress Have happiness No more sadness
