Heartbroken
When the days feel burdened or disheartening, by your side is where my soul longs to be. The one place, I used to be able to go, is into your embrace and listened to your consoling voice. By your side is where my soul longs to be. Watching the shadows of moonlight dance around your face as you used to move close for a kiss. By your side is where my soul longs to be, chasing golden sun rays of a new day. We’d walk along the changing ocean's shoreline collecting sand dollars and listened to the incoming waves, and squawking hungry calls of the seagulls swooping low above our heads with outstretched wings. Imprint still remains as once you held me. A heartbroken silence, I know you will never come back. 2/27/2023 2.
