Sister
Sister I wish I had an older sister they say But they don’t realise what it’s like every day You see my sister isn’t like the others I’m even treated better by my brothers The constant why’s and what’s and how’s What did I do to ever make you disavow You make me cry and scream and shout But no matter what I still always doubt One day might me different, better But you’ll always scream if I touch your sweater You don’t ever talk to me tell me things you say But every time I do you ruin my day Tell me it’s my fault oh how I am You scream and shout and i just say damn You travel and have fun with friends And I don’t ever tell you how much it offends Because you’ll never know not really You’ll just tell me I’m not seeing clearly But when I’m the one that doesn’t talk You start to scream and start to squak It’s suddenly my fault all over again Your excuses are just a means to an end Our mother tells me to try to fix it And so I do I try to commit But once again you scream and shout Telling me to just get out I’m done for good no more I say But the decision haunts me every day What did I do to feel this way? Sister My worst enemy But for others their best friend
