Heartbroken
I am heartbroken: The toxic plume from the burn at the train wreck in Ohio, Was reported to be near Vermont, heading North to Canada It rained here yesterday and today, there are literally no birds! My yard is usually filled with birds, every single day Now, they are not flying, not in the trees, or on the ground I took my usual walk and not one single bird did I see There are no bird flights, no sights, no songs, not a life My heart is in turmoil and my mind cannot absorb this As you know, I love nature and I write about it often This attack on so many of us, is devastating! Some people out of Ohio show cars covered in acid rain I have never experienced no birds around to be seen There is an eerie emptiness that I cannot explain It is shocking, worrisome and beyond heartbreaking I wonder when some people will realize how serious this is? The dirt in my driveway beyond the ice, is black! A chemical weapon was allowed to be released, and now we suffer! Heidi Sands 2/19/23
