He Is a Liar and a Thief Too
This is how I am presented with a child who is asking to see me. Teacher: “He would not tell me why.” I am the counselor, I know sometimes they do not want to share why. Teacher “I wouldn’t let him come, so he got mad and hit three kids.” I would have thought one would have been enough, but it wasn’t. He is all wound up, and the teacher is texting mean stuff to his parents. A major mistake! I have tried to tell teachers this, but they do not listen. Text text text nasty nasty nasty text text text mean mean mean Silly! But like I said, I have tried to tell her. She tells him to get into my office as if it is a punishment. I cannot look at him. I ignore him until she has finally shut the door. But not before she threw in some tidbits about his character “liar, thief.” He is six. And she is supposed to be an adult. She has frenzied-him-up. He is steaming like a bull during a fight. I let him sit a bit before I try to make contact. Then I ask him questions about his life. The worst part is his teacher. Although I agree, I know better than to nod.
