Unwind
Unwind I see before me an interminable Ages and hours repeated in seconds Their voices I never heard Stretch out Creep-able Yawn at the very least ! Un- breathed promises To wait Garrotte the days Before they have happened Twenty-four hours To the next one I see my impatient count to twenty-ninth Tick Tock Tick Tock Tick In the agony of thirty I can declare But cannot speak Of Tick Tock Tick Clock Has only just begun its slow unwind My head to full To make any sense And pick from grey matter porridge My only defense Clock Tock Tick Thick and sullen I Wait And pressed to the hurt I know is to come I Wait Tock Tick Tock Tick As the coiled frustration Doesn’t loosen In its pause Holds this scrap Of forward motion In plastic bags Of emotion I eat Sickening In every second Tick Tock Tick Tock Damn The God damn Clock Tock Tick infuriation’s That leave me so hung So immobile So spent Worn out Unsporting I Have retired to count miniscule motes In the brackish blood vinaigrette Of romantic source And beat my head Upon dull thud walls And slap my heart Where my rapture bawls…………………tick Tock The endless Clock That mocks resolve And shivers me cold Heartless And bends my will As easily as an Iron rod of pointlessness Tock Tick Tock I see before me The damnable brute Of sweeping needle Clock
