An Open Door
Each day is like a door opening Into a world vast and unending, Where things are staying, moving changing, growing, dying, building, breaking, fixing, tearing, mending, wounding, healing. Like them, we too are ever-changing, the same never staying. But what on earth are we becoming? The choice is ours; we are deciding. If this constant change seems confusing then you need a compass guiding to a destination leading if your life is to have meaning. God your Maker is extending Hands to hold as you are walking and to keep your feet from straying. He offers help when strength is failing comfort when your heart is breaking calm when your head is spinning soothing when your body’s aching peace when your world is caving teaching so you’re always learning. On the cross, a savior dying for man engrossed in sinning “I love you,” our God was saying. “Come to me,” His voice is pleading What your soul needs is saving. Take the hands I am extending Soon my son will be returning Let me prepare you for landing In a place of peace abiding and where life is never-ending.
