Another Journey
Today begins another journey as I encounter my million mile A journey where I will enjoy each moment And everyday I'll wear a smile There's a place on this journey where marriage and peace Are joined in hand together A place I know I'll find and live and stay there like forever But before I leave and begin my day On my knees to God I pray Let me take you with me so you can know How this last journey has been for Co The road I traveled, sometimes I walked And friendly people came along To help, guide and encourage me to continue to stay strong Misfortune of funds was an oversight to see With kids and bills it soon became a heavy load for me No one said it would be easy, in fact at times it was so hard But I knew if I gave up, I would miss out on my reward There were times I drove down some real bumpy streets There were times I ran in 100 degrees heat There were times I climbed mountains and hurdles I hopped There were times I paused, but never did I stop For the puddles of tears I stepped in and made a splash As I continued on my journey, I ran and made a dash Off across the finish line because my feet wouldn't let me quit Sweat dripping, hands raised up to the sky, yes I too just made it I'm starting a new journey now, a new phase in my life I want You to come and share with me Where the two of us will still be together and live so happily Thank You for being the light that shines so brightly in my life This poem is to my Heavenly Father
