Roar
From the top of my lungs I yearn to yell To scream from the depths of my very core You’ll hear my bellow all the way in hell Surpassing sound you will feel my roar I rage mythic, out of pages lore A thirst unceasing you cannot quell I will not contain it anymore From the top of my lungs I yearn to yell I am wind so backwards you propel A cyclone howling at your front door I came not to whisper, not to tell To scream from the depths of my very core I am tsunami pulling you from shore A trap you’re caught in which you fell Your explanations are such a bore You’ll hear my bellow all the way in hell You say to quiet, not to fix and dwell My shriek will echo back to time of yore Like ruckus and bedlam casting a spell Surpassing sound you will feel my roar Until your ears won’t take much more And I decide to bid you last farewell If you say you still don’t know what for I’ll be the shouting in your head to swell From the top of my lungs.
