The Abiding Grace
You have no clue What I have been through But you think you know you do You have no clue What is wrong and what is true But you think that it’s all about you Well, I have been hurting Deep down, my fire is burning This pain inside is alarming I’m done harming myself too today… I’m done harming myself in dismay… I have been so terrified, please subside from my side Petrified by being teary-eyed…don’t know where to abide God will see me through this sad pain God will heal me with his radiant rain God will be merciful to me once more As long as I repent and don’t hit the floor God will see my inner glow again God will know what and where I’ve been God will be merciful to me once more As long as I repent and don’t swear anymore I love you and I’ll tell you what I am My body aches and it breaks free possibly I am a strong and vigilant godly lamb Everybody is judging me, it’s scaring me… Well, I have been hurting Deep down, my fire is burning This pain inside is alarming I’m done harming myself too today… I’m done harming myself in dismay… I have been so terrified, please subside from my side Petrified by being teary-eyed…don’t know where to abide God will see me through this mad pain God will heal me with his radiant rain God will be merciful to me once more As long as I repent and don’t hit the floor God will see my inner glow again God will know what and where I’ve been God will be merciful to me once more As long as I repent and don’t swear anymore I went against my body I am afraid of everybody Eyes on me and I’m frankly introverted all over again, all over again They don’t know what I have been through — I’m yearning for zen Time flies when anguish comes and goes Crime I’ve committed made me feel woes Sublime that you’re still here with me still Be still, healing is near and life is a big pill Well, I have been hurting Deep down, my fire is burning This pain inside is alarming I’m done harming myself too today… I’m done harming myself in dismay… I have been so terrified, please subside from my side Petrified by being teary-eyed…don’t know where to abide God will see me through this bad pain God will heal me with his radiant rain God will be merciful to me once more As long as I repent and don’t hit the floor God will see my inner glow again God will know what and where I’ve been God will be merciful to me once more As long as I repent and don’t swear anymore Life’s a rather big pill to swallow I’m feeling so empty and hallow I’m sorry I hurt you the way I did There’s a hello for me to you to bid No more goodbyes…no more telling me lies Sing to me less of your cruel, wicked lullabies You have no clue or any idea at all What I have been through, through But I’m glad I can swing through the ups and downs and stand tall Even if I’m feeling any shade of blue Even if I’m feeling the abiding grace with you
