I Resolve
As we approach the beginning of 2023, I meditate upon another year for me Thinking how I might a better person be Clinging to my desire to be utterly free. I resolve to live patiently in the community. Life is more than any one person can see, So, I must mindfully accept others’ identity Trying to embrace them, and never to flee. I resolve to cultivate feelings of positivity Maintaining inner peace, for this is a key To living in our rapidly changing society, Where factions abound who cannot agree. I resolve to learn about my family history Helping grandchildren with a family tree Encouraging them to write their story, Teaching them to love each other, finally.
