Christmas Thoughts From My Friend
when I went through the living room they had turned the lights off on the tree, all but the star, sitting at the very top of the tree above all the ornaments, still shining brightly in the midst of the darkness & all therein. I didn't think a whole lot about it till I laid back down. Then it "dawned" on me, lol, how there were just "three wise men". Why three? Why not one, two, five, seven, ten or twelve? It was then the scriptures began to lite up once again. These three wise men were from Arabia, Persia & India. In that order!!! They knew their several ability to even become wise in the first place was a gift of God, Who now was before them & this world within this very babe they were drawn to behold. This was prophesy being fulfilled of the coming, life, & death of Christ, along with all born of Him thereafter. In Matthew 12:40; Christ was to be in the heart of the earth for (three) days & (three) nights. He is Light, while earthen man is the darkness!!! The first gift mentioned brought by the wise man from "Arabia" was (gold), which is deemed as the eternal knowledge of God throughout the scriptures. This wise man from Arabia had already been given insight how this baby Jesus was to hold all the knowledge & wisdom of Almighty God. It also made me think how the Apostle Paul was led into the wilderness of (Arabia) for "three" long years, where he was taught by God, not men, before he began his ministry of the cross. The Angel of the Lord in Rev.3:18; I council thee to buy of me, gold tried in the Fire!!!??????The second wise man was from Persia, who brought incense, signifying the Devine nature of Christ was to be a sweet smelling savor unto God!!! The third wise man from India, brought myrrh, which was a fragrant oil for anointing, used for embalming a dead body being prepared for burial. Ok, all this was a like figure of how we too, must also first & foremost receive the New birth of Christ, the Gift of God, for to dwell within our body. In doing so, we not only (receive gold) planted, yet hidden within our earthy carnal body, but we are to be drawn to our cross, that we might, "first" behold the Word of God according to the light & knowledge "of God", as pure gold. And as we begin to walk in His sight, (He) begins teaching us & transforming us into His image which includes His will, His servitude, His worship, as a sweet smelling savor unto God. It's then we have His desire to be anointed with the Holy Spirit of God, as the consuming Fire John the Baptist prophesied in Matthew 3:11-12; It's the only means by which we might suffer our cross daily. That's where Isaiah 26:19; comes alive; "Thy" dead men, together with My dead body shall arise!!! It's then we may enter the third day, dying daily, while being given knowledge of eternal life, in servitude & worship unto the glory of God. It's then we will see our own vile nature must be kept underfoot daily if we are to be delivered from the subtle spirit of our flesh which tempts us daily. All glory & praise unto Christ in Almighty God!!!
