God Works In Mysterious Ways
It was time for fall break for my kids Me and my family had planned a vacation But I had got put on waiting list at work to be off This year I was not able to get off work So my wife and kids went on as I had wished I ended up getting two days off but it Was to far to go where they had went I needed to get away to clear my mind I had planned on going to Nashville,Tn But it was gonna be raining at this time So I decided it was fall the mountains In Gatlinburg would be beautiful this time of year I had not been there in years At the time I had quit writing for awhile As my flame inside was dimming I had planned out many things to see and do I began to walk down the main strip I had passed seemed like thousands of people Then in the center of the strip There was this bench , I had passed many while walking but on this one sat a man A different race from me but I felt An instant connection I could tell He was just enjoying the beautiful day So we began to talk about life And felt as if I had known him my entire life I had told him I see no color And he told me he sees only grey We found out we where from neighboring states Then we found out what we had in common He told me he was a Gideon And loved to tell about God So I was like great I love to hear about God My fire inside was beginning to brighten We listened to a couple of gospel songs And God gave him the words of everything That I needed to hear it was breath taking Then the work of the Lord shined down unto us And all the chaos around us became silent We where in the spirit in the presence of God I told him I liked to write poetry to explain What God has done in my life so that Others might come to experience His love So I pulled up the Potter's Hand and asked If he would read this poem And it was then looking into his eyes I knew the presence of God was within It felt as if we where both about to float away I knew then why everything in my week Had a bigger purpose then I could see I was no longer worried about the colorful leaves For I had come to see why I was lead there We sat while his family was going shopping And playing the games they where a great family I looked over and his wife and great kids Where waiting on the bench next to us Time had flown by being in the moment My candle light has become a roaring fire since Burning away all darkness that comes my way And I know he is the same I pray for him daily that the strong wind When he is teaching about God Will flow through him and spread like wildfire We had to call each other to make sure Both of us was real nothing like being in the Presence of God so strongly I know we might not always understand Everything going on in our life But I pray it will lead one to God Love you all
