'there's No More Affliction'
It takes so much energy to try and stay strong My depression thought it beat me, it turned out that it was wrong I ended up battling my depression for so long I was courageous in battle, you can call me king kong Mental illness can be brutal, feeling down most of the time You wake up depressed, you have Mount Everest to climb I had a question for my illness, what are you in my life for I had had enough abuse, so i then declared war I had to be prepared, I needed a plan My depression said I couldn't so I told it that I can I warned my illness, don't doubt my ability Because my mind is full of so much positivity Every move I make is so precise and direct When I think of my depression I say what did it expect Every single punch it threw at me I had to deflect When I think of how far I've come, I sit down and reflect Just because my depression has passed away does not mean it won't come back I must remain on guard and be ready for any attack The hard work I put in today prepares me for tomorrow The momentum i have gathered helps distance me from sorrow The motivational poems I write contain messages that my peers can borrow When it comes to my future, here is my prediction I envision success delivered with so much conviction If I said I was brave and not brave then that would be a contradiction I'm the undisputed king of mental health, that is my description When I have a problem in life, I start the process of decryption I finally have freedom, there's no more affliction
