Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required I am confident that depression will not define me I am leading this race while my illness trails behind me When it comes to depression I dedicate a lot of hate I will never forget the pain it caused my mental state Although it is my enemy, its also been my teacher For a few years pain and suffering became a double feature When under intense stress, I had to produce a reaction When I decided to fight back it gave me so much satisfaction I had to concoct a plan, I had to incorporate preparation I decided to challenge my illness without any hesitation I must admit it felt good, it gave me a boost To become a fearless warrior is what i had to produce Things began to change rapidly, I say this happily My illness was emotionless and full of so much apathy The way I see my life, I am on the mental battlefield At my disposal I have an arsenal, a sword and a shield I'm not scared anymore, I've become fearless There is no more crying, I am now tearless I will never taste defeat again If I fall down nine times, I will stand up ten I've become a machine, I am an asset to my peers My words resonate and help them conquer their fears When life became critical, I had to fight for my survival My illness became pitiful, my Inner strength made its arrival I made a promise to myself, I would fight to the death I had to resurrect my mental health, I would fight till my last breath This was clash of the titans or like vikings at war This was my opportunity to settle a score I'm not scared, I do not feel fear My illness has been defeated and I am still here
