It Was Supposed To Be Paradise
I grew up on a lilac dream along with a few shows on tv I like video games and writing stupidly long things I got taught that life is what you make it I'm about to turn fifteen and I'm pretty smart for my age I just feel like I try too hard and sleep too little I'm on my tenth week running on caffeine and my last string of brain cells When I need my brain the most It powers down like it's slamming on breaks I should thank my melatonin mind for setting me straight My grades are straighter than my sexuality People make fun of me but I still help them with the work that should be easy It's a good thing I'm so forgiving It's ok here in this place I call home I just hope I can make it out before I plummet down I usually forget my name My birthday goes out the top of my brain along with others I think that my name should be memorable to at least a few of you that includes me I can't deal with this Because I don't even remember what my favorite color is I'm stressed Tiered and full of pain Yet I can't get the tears out until I've had my moments of happiness Though I may not write well I'm not a puppet on a string They all treat me like I'm just a pawn Something that can just be replaced Even Pinocchio was treated better than this I have never taken more than my share If anything I haven't taken enough They say to treat people the way you want to be treated If that's the case I need to get more violent The people who have taken to the streets I respect them for that because they can fight for their right to believe The right to speak free Even now you have to pay the rich just to live I thought living was supposed to be paradise But in the end, the only thing that is peaceful that would be when the last words someone speaks to you is R.I.P. So to end this all with a bang just like how life all started Rest in peace oh, Parasitic Paradise
