Bittersweet Memories' Song
recently scenes of early life have stolen into my mind, like breezes blown ..." Quote by _Samuel Taylor Coleridge (from his writings) Throughout each day your spirit comes to mind. Upon the grave of love denied I tread. Somehow in precious recalls peace, I find. Three years get often tangled in my head. Which day and time did that event occur? But I see only happiness instead. A nighttime breeze can make my passions stir. The rise of smells and sounds from country cozy. Yet in my scenes sometimes true love’s a blur. Sweet remembrance of the days so rosy. A jocund dance for us that wasn’t long. But I care not to linger on to mosey. How bittersweet the daydreams growing strong. Increase from their determined will to last. Our poetry’s alive in memories’ song. We’ve both been changed by circumstances, fast. The shift of tides that caused our love to pass.
