A Graceful Blessing
The trees are like a rainbow on yond hill in seasons when the leaves turn red and gold. As Autumn frost caresses dew with chill, Summer’s sizzling memories soon are cold, remaining in the thoughts as days grow still. Nature’s majesty in beauty does abound, a graceful blessing to the dying trees, who’ll be in winter nakedness soon found wearing only thin white boas and their leaves, appearing neath first snow on frozen ground. The mighty oak has turned a purple red, while maple is an amber yellowed jewel. In height of glory falling to death’s bed, yielding life for reasons of renewal, no kinder blessing ever may be said. 10/21/2022 01/30/2023 2022 Poetry Marathon Mile 26 Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Mark Toney THREE STANZA POEM IN QUINTAIN Sponsored by: L MILTON HANKINS
