Sweet Rose and Mulberry Green
Several lovely bushes of roses were set out along the banks of a creek, and most of the year, there was clear water running briskly downstream. The flow was calming, clean, and cool, a most refreshing sight to see. On many occasions, there were extra activities involving fallen roses. The wind would send roses diving into the creek for a relaxing touch. They swam a lot but the roses did not find satisfaction in simply swimming and sunbathing alone. They longed for socialization and personal interaction. There were several colors of roses like white, pink, purple, and red ones. Roses are gorgeous wherever you find them, but living along the creek assisted even more in the production of their most stunning beauty. Most of the roses that jumped into the creek were reasonably sociable but rather shy and swam alone. I never knew all their names, but there was one rose in particular named Sweet Rose, and she looked stunning. Sweet Rose was a gorgeous Lavender* and totally different from her fellow roses, never wasting time getting acquainted with everyone. She loved to dance, and I observed her one sunny afternoon as she introduced herself to a ROCK. He was a great communicator, but understandably, he couldn't dance. Sweet Rose cordially excused herself and soon spotted an ACORN floating alone, whereupon she quickly swam to his side and asked him if he wanted to dance. He delightfully said yes because he could not imagine a creature of such beauty asking him to dance. Like myself, who never learned to dance, the acorn moved back and forth from side to side, but that wasn't dancing. Sweet Rose could not stand it any longer and respectfully moved along. A little further downstream, she came upon a mulberry LEAF that was so overwhelmingly colored with the finest green she'd ever seen. That leaf was dancing alone, and she saw life and energy in every vein. As she came within some 20 feet of the dancing leaf, Sweet Rose started to dance also. 10 feet later, their eyes met, and it was like telepathy; like love at first sight. As they danced to the music of Autumn nature, they introduced themselves. He said his name was Mulberry Green as they danced down the stream. A match made in heaven, the lives of Sweet Rose and Mulberry Green became a dream as they lived happily together ever after. As I watched their lives over the years, I thought about the song, "I can only imagine". 100122PS*Each color of a rose has a defining description.
