Life Is Sweet
In the space of six weeks, had two operations, the first was plain sailing, the second one I began failing. Everything went wrong, I caught a super bug, heart, liver kidneys, lungs oh and oxygen level sunk. I was in a scary place, Elias saw it on my face, he called the paramedics for he could not wake me, our two boys were afraid. Thank God I was brought back, two days in ICU four in the general ward, eventually, I wanted to come home, I wanted to wash my hair and give it a good comb. The doctor said OK but, No medicines allowed, I stuck it out, I’m feeling better today, than I did yesterday, have realized that life is sweet, and a treat, I will meet, my maker one day, and I nearly did, but it wasn’t my time, my bell did not chime, doctors think I caught a Covid related bug, Covid is a vagabond, a rogue and a thug, will it ever say goodbye, or does it need humans, it’s hungry appetite to satisfy.
