He was shocked to find that he was naked, and lay upon a cold, desolate floor, a single candle burnt near the ceiling, and he saw nothing that looked like a door. Much stranger still, lying three feet away, was the form of another naked man? He wondered how much had had drank that night, if things had really gotten out of hand? The more he looked the more he realized that no drunken night had brought them both here, this appeared to be some sort of dungeon, he saw the ceiling hatch, and felt some fear. You see Marton was not a normal man, his profession often set him apart, Marton’s job was to hunt down vampires, and to stab those undead fiends through the heart. Some people would call him a murderer, the vampires out there certainly did, he’d killed twenty-seven this last decade, of Marton they all would gladly be rid. His fears were confirmed when the other man slowly sat up and rubbed hard at his head, he looked quite confused, and somewhat woozy, “Wha-what happened? Where am I?”the man said. Marton was moving to speak and answer, when a loud cackle came down from above, it was a voice Marton had heard before, the voice of a woman he had once loved. “Adelina…”he whispered to himself. “That’s right, Marton, you bastard, it is me! Do you think I could forget what you’ve done? I mean to have my vengeance on you, see? “You will pay for slaying my dear father, you will suffer for my brother dispatched!” “You seduced me!”Marton cried out in rage, “Tried to ambush me, I can’t forgive that!” “You could have roamed with us, had endless life, and know my touch until the end of time!” she laughed harshly, then said, “But no more! You have wounded me! Vengeance will be mine! “And you, stupid priest,”Adelina roared, “You blessed the weapons he used to kill them! You took my whole clan, so I’ve decided that I will take from God two holy men!” She laughed once, Marton just felt annoyed, it was a shrill sound that got on his nerves but at least he knew why they were not dead, she’d preserved them for some sort of torture. He supposed he should be thankful for that, a good man would’ve just killed them right off, but he knew that he had hours at least, time for him to think, all was not yet lost...
