The Heartbreak
The heart whimpers of my heartbreaking, Feeling as if someone has, Ripped it out of my heart. The humanity and inner strength, Is all but gone from my heart. The soul darkens as the light disappears. All you feel is abandonment. The evil thoughts and cruel ideas, Lurk into your mind not quite, Understanding why. She didn't do anything wrong. All is lost from overthinking. The mind and body tire from exhaustion, All you want is to heal your heart. You reflect on what transpired, Yet now while swallowing your pride, You contemplate will it bring you back, From the depths of despair. You can fix this. You can feel again. You can breathe again. You just need to talk to her, Making her believe it can be mended. You need her back. A simple message sent. Looking waiting for a chance, any chance, Any glimmer of hope. I just need an answer, please. She answers back, Yes, baby let's talk. You feel like love is still possible. You have your chance. Can you come over tomorrow night? My heart breaks as I hear her say, NO! Then I hear a knock at the door. I open the door as she runs into my arms crying. I hear myself say, I'M SO SORRY. As my tears glide down my face, She wipes them away. I kiss her tears away. She Leans into my body, I'm holding her never letting her go, ever again.
