Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Bengali man, a jolly man, was hungry but he had no plan. He saw an osprey catch a fish, thought he would like a tasty dish. The osprey, happy to extol, said, “First, you need a fishing pole.” A piece of cane will likely do, or better still, some green bamboo. So off he went in search of these, but all he found were mango trees. The osprey said, “You’ll need some string.” Bengali couldn’t find a thing. Both high and low, he looked, alas, found nothing but some bits of grass. He cut strips with his trusty blade and wove them tightly in a braid. He tied it on the pole, but wait, the osprey said, “You’ll need some bait.” Bengali thought, “This is absurd.” And so he grabbed that osprey bird. He bound him with that piece of twine and laughed and laughed to see his fine new fishing pole with talon hooks. Now, osprey snags; Bengali cooks. Yes, he’s a jolly fisherman.
