Addiction
My body is an infection To all those I let inside Some will keep for reflection While others use for pride I’m done living this lie Oh begotten son so loved I wish to come home to you In our canopy up above My skin peels like lemon rinds As men use me for their temper Calming storms of subconscious tides I thaw their frozen shelter But in temptation I am lost Pushing down temples of ancient times I once thought love led my words But I’m left to face these dogs of pride Bite me. Chew me. Spit me. When will this ever end? Hit me. Hurt me. Trap me. How has this bitterness returned again? The peaks of the mountains sing to me And the valleys so deep forget my name But in this chamber where my heart beats Ring the chains of growing shame How to listen to the gods An arcane mind too gruesome to bare Tugging at my string of knots Of golden silk, buttered hair I cry to my mother as she kneels before me And yell to my father as his hands wash my feet The dirt pools beneath my soles As tears stain my blood-soaked sheets Semen swirling in forbidden places A cyclone of lustful action. Oh hellhound of the deepest circle Why has this curse happened? Bite me. Chew me. Spit me. When will this ever end? Hit me. Hurt me. Trap me. How has this bitterness returned again? Fables are told to mend the hearts Of ogres and and of frogs Twisted tales to knot the knowing Forget the truth of who you are. Bite me. Chew me. Spit me. When will this ever end? Hit me. Hurt me. Trap me. How has this bitterness returned again? We are broken , we are loved. We are gods, we are doves. Deliver me before my throne, Grovel under my own dynasty
