In the Plenitude of Space
It was a lifetime ago, but it seems as though it was just last evening as the moon was full and bright when you and I were young, tormented teenagers, trying to find ourselves and the meaning of life. Like two particles dancing in space and timeless time, we became entangled in one another’s hearts, souls and minds. It was way back when chaos was king and emotions ran wild, but love was all that mattered then and I saw it for the very first time in you glorious, splendid smile. I admit that I was mesmerized by the beauty you engendered and those few short days we walked in shade I surrendered... everything I had inside: my hopes, my thoughts, my dreams you were my world, my pearl, my universe my everything it seemed. Until our quantum potential probability wave collapsed in the plenitude of space, our single particle split in two again and you were gone without a trace. And here I am reminiscing now, all these milli-seconds later about how and why and what went wrong, did you find some elevator? To a higher plane or did you gain some newfound, profound truth? I dare you dear if you’re still near, was it a newfound love or proof? That love exists beyond our lips and the smell of your long, blond hair. And if you find these words in future times remember, I still care.
