Leda and the Light of Aquarius
Unsated, a large blue canvas On his bedroom wall drinks in The darkling sherry of sunlight It's an axiom that sky gods give No promises of gentleness Jupiter's ram reared feathery Embrace is a familiar fresco they Both have painted for many years The lovely Leda's simple grey Cotton underwear is raked until A cruel royal akoya pearl betrays Her with its shiny rosé luster In cold, clean ocean waters Jupiter cuts every citrine gem Out of her stomach and fills it With putrefying black moths Leda's jade magic is a pile of bones His unsheathed gladius aflame Is a final quietus to her morning On the riverbank of a soft bed Jupiter desires, dares, destroys Fragile threads spun by the stars White orchids bring forgiving grace She is diving in a pond of cobalt blue With red flowers on the wall when His dazzling white swan fingers Grip her long neck. The satin mercy Of aspirin and benzodiazepine pills Wraps Leda in a much needed sleep The proud god-man mocks the rivulet Between her cherry lips. The Devil is Very beautiful and sin is quite artistic Still the waterfall of an unbearably hot Sun purifies the chorus of tropical birds No longer a lost woman, Leda is now A rearranged molecule vanishing Into every astonishing sea chimera An archaeologist's gloved hand will Be caressing golden drapery, Kabul Falling and the lust of river birds In the evening, the sun mistress gazes At St Germain's palette of violet hues
