When stars, in hiding, no longer glisten and moon refuses to share its soft light. My someone, I think of as a daughter. She was once married to my youngest son. I think angels surely must have brought her, when I was feeling in great need of one. Grown weary of time, soil I can't now till, seeing friends pass or move into others' homes. While my "daughter" fights terrible ills, we're there for each other, not one alone. I thank God for a friend who will hear me; not smile and nod, but then turn a deaf ear.
