Everyday Math
Everyday Math Milk, bread, eggs... the necessities we need, to feed those we love every day. They are getting harder to buy, and they are not easy to raise. Life is becoming more expensive. It is changing everything about us, that we were, before this time. Yet, there is no going back. I put half a gallon in my grocery basket. When I get home, I will add water, to make it stretch. It will be the same color, but the flavor will be gone. Cereal will be wet, and eatable. I learned to make bread, last summer... but it is hard. It rises when it likes and lays there lazy when it chooses. We eat it anyway, every day, without complaint. We are full. The eggs are now from the quail. They are the stars in the park... The place? My back yard, a jungle of my own design. The birds, they give and never take, they have a lovely heart that is part of the greater picture of life. When will we be, the way we were? When will we return? The answer is earned, by those that realize, and open their eyes to the rise of the end.
