Look Up
I know there is always a way, To reach up and find the light of day. No matter how dark and hazy, You can always find the sunrays. Just be patient, and it will come. You will eventually see the sun. With this will come a new growth. And You will become stronger and wiser; More able to cheerfully carry on, Singing your song, that you do belong. Just keep on looking up, And you will receive love in your cup. I’ve been trudging through the valley so long, Searching for Thy love, oh Lord. Thou hast not left me abandoned, As I’ve struck out for home on my own. I’ve felt so lost down here, And filled with such fear, even with Thine angels near. But I am looking up to Thee, Looking down on me, Finding me a pleasure to see, As I turn to Thee, healing me. Now I must trust Thee wholly, As I look to Thee fully. My heart and mind will be a fully functioning thing, When Thou art finished operating. I battle and pray for the day, when I’ll see Thy face, And I can thank Thee for Thy grace, For saving me in haste, and finishing my race. I now rest upon Thy shoulders, in first place.
